My Mother's Day

Mother's Day just a week after having the baby.
I recieved a sweet gift, little Bryce, coming into our family.
Amanda and Kaitlyn sure do love him!

Here is Kaitlyn with her picture and envelope of little service things she would do for me.

Amanda with her sweet "My Mom Book", card and plant.
She was so excited to give them to me.

This is a card all the kids made for me with Daddy's help.

I thought this picture was cute.  They even have the dog in the picture.

Kaitlyn drew this picture.  It is a picture of me.

It was a good Mother's day.  I went to church on Sunday, just a week from being home from the hospital.   I wanted to hear Amanda and Kaitlyn sing their Mother's Day songs in sacrament meeting.  They did a good job singing, but a bit of a handful when not singing. :)  Roy was kind to watch little Bryce at home.  Then we switched places for the rest of the church meetings.

My little family made such cute little things for me.  It really did make my day special.  Amanda wrote a book called, "My Mom Book".  I wanted to share what she wrote.  It was so sweet and brought tears to my eyes.  My little girl really knows me. :)

"When Mom was a baby, she was adorable.  When Mom was a little girl she liked to do coloring. When Mom waas a teenager she was always nice.  When my Mom met my Dad she thought he was cute.  When Mom got married she looked cute in her wedding dress. When I was born my Mom thought I was cute.  Mom's favorite color is purple.  I really like my mom to play with me.  My Mom cooks the best cookies.  In her spare time Mom likes to make books with me.  My Mom has yellow hari and blue eyes.  The best thing about my Mom is her eyes are sparkling blue."

Thank you my little family for making my Mother's Day special.  Love you all! :)

Welcome Home Bryce Alan!

Bryce was a bit bruised when he was born around his nose and mouth.  It healed quite quickly.  By the time he came home, you would have never known he was bruised.

Amanda and Kaitlyn's first time to see the baby on Saturday.

Getting ready to take little Bryce home.

I think he likes his little bear Aunt Becky gave him.

First day home.  Dad already had a little nap with him.

This was a picture, I sent to Roy the day after Bryce was born saying, "Bryce says hi". :)

Bryce is a week old in this picture.  One of our friends, gave us this little outift.  We had a good laugh.  Bryce is already trying to flex those muscles. :)

Well our little Bryce Alan was born on May 3, 2013 at 8:46 p.m!  He was 7 lbs 14 oz and 20 1/2 inches long. We are so excited to have him here.  It was a long day.  We were at the hospital at 7 a.m. and I was all hooked up at 8 a.m. to be induced.  As the day was going a long I asked for the epidural around 2 p.m. and the doctor put in a high dose right up front.  Well my body didn't like it and my blood pressure dropped really fast.  I was feeling like passing out and felt I could throw up.  They hurried and gave me some medication to bring my blood pressure back up.  They ended up turning the epidural off for about 4 hours.  I was so numb.  I couldn't even move my legs.

As time went on Roy was noticing my contractions were from an 8 to a 2, and notice the pitocin wasn't dripping.  We had the nurse come in and there was an error message on the screen, but it wasn't beeping.  They ended up having to replace the pump.  Also, the contraction monitor wasn't reading correctly and they ended up putting one in internally.  As the day went on not much improvement was happening.  My Dad had showed up to visit a couple of times, which made the time go a lot faster.  Then the third time he stopped by around 8:20 p.m. with my brother, Glen.  I was starting to feel bad...we still hadn't had the baby.  Well, the doctor came in shortly after they arrived, and wanted to check to see how many centimeters I was.  He had the nurses, Roy, and I make a guess.  Then he said I was a 9.  He mentioned they would slowly get things ready to have this baby.  Roy left to tell my Dad and Glen we were going to attempt to have the baby.  Dad mentioned they would wait a bit.  Well, before we knew it after pushing 5-10 minutes...little Bryce was born!  Dad was able to hold the baby after he was dried off.  I was so glad he was able to see him, and be there shortly after he was born.

Fluffer's 1st Hair Cut

We finally were able to get our little puppy a haircut.  We were a bit delayed since she had hurt one of her legs two different times.  Our girls are learning they need to be careful with Fluff.  Yet they have learned the hard way.  We are pleased to say she now has a hair cut and a very cute one I might add. :)  She was all decked out ready for Valentine's day.   Here is the before and after picture of her.  She can finally see better.  We love our Flufferty McFlufferton. :)

Christmas

I am a bit embarassed that it is February, and I am going to post pictures from Christmas...but I am determined I will get caught up on here.  So much has been going on lately.  I just finished one of my classes, so I feel like I have a little free time before Monday starts up with new classes.

We did have a wonderful Christmas.  One extra special thing we were able to do was take the girls on Christmas Eve to find out if the baby was going to be a girl or boy.  Amanda and Kaitlyn were so excited to find out. :)  It looks like we have a baby boy coming in our family.  We are excited!  Amanda has been telling me for quite some time...years...she has wanted a baby brother.  It looks like her wish is coming true. :)  Here are some pictures of Christmas.

Fluff is quite the cuddler.  This is what daddy gets when he falls asleep on the floor.

Amanda lost her fifth tooth right after Christmas.  She was pretty excited.  Although, the tooth fairy was a day late.  We had to tell her she was still on Christmas break so she was running a bit behind. :)

Amanda wanted a fancy dinner by candlelight.  :) She helped set the table even put up a sign welcoming us to the "fancy" restaurant. We didn't really eat anything special...just played some music and had the candles. It was a fun event.

A new addition coming to our family :)

I don't have any pictures to post, but have some exciting news.  On Labor Day night, we found out I was pregnant.  I guess that is what happens when I notice I have a cold sore on my lip and I hadn't done anything stressful lately. :)  I only get them when my body is under a lot of stress.  Anyway...we are so excited!  This pregnancy was taking a bit longer than the other ones.  I was beginning to wonder if we were not able to have kids any more, but before I knew it, I was pregnant. :)

We will be finding out the gender on Christmas Eve!  What a great Christmas gift.  Roy and I decided to take the little girls with us this time so they can see the baby through the ultrasound.  I hope they are pleased with the results.  We have had questions whether we want a boy or girl.  It doesn't really matter, although Amanda has mentioned she wants a baby brother.  We just hope to have a strong, healthy baby. :)  I will have to keep you all posted on what we find out on Christmas Eve!

Competition is over...finally he can have cheese cake! This is one of his favorite desserts. :)

Well, this was one of the biggest competitions Roy has done.  He competed in Nationals for the first time on November 9, 2012.  The competition was held in Reno, Nevada.  This was the best Roy has ever looked, and he had a chance to meet his trainer, Kioshi Moody, in person for the first time. Roy competed in the Junior Masters and the Open Tall divisions.  He came in third in the Junior Masters!  We are so proud of him.  He had a great experience.  There were so many good pictures I am sure I missed some really good ones.  I thought I would show a bit of a time line of his whole trip.

Roy's Birthday

Roy, Ammon & Jessica right before going to the temple. :)

Roy's birthday was on November 4th.  We were able to celebrate, but not really with cake and ice cream since Roy had a competition the next weekend.  He was able to save some yummy cheese cake though to eat after his competition was all done. :)  We were able to find a nice case to put all of Roy's competition trophies in.  They used to be just collecting dust in our bedroom, and no one could see them but us.  I thought it would be a good idea to put it in a nice case so people would be able to see all the hard work he has put in.

The day before, we were able to take Jessica & Ammon to the Provo Temple and do baptisms there.  It was Ammon's first time doing this.  It was great because we were able to do family names as a fmaily and Roy's parents were working in the baptistry as well.  It was a neat experience!
