Grandma Robinson's 90th Birthday Party

This past weekend we as a family drove up to Burley, Idaho and celebrated Roy's grandma's 90th birthday party! I keep thinking how lucky Roy is to still have a grandma alive and how neat that our kids can get to know her. I only knew my Grandma Richardson and she passed away when I think I was in 6th or 7th grade. My mom's parents and Grandpa Richardson passed away before I was born.

I have to admit when you think of someone who is 90 years old, I assume they have a walker and very fraile, but I was amazed she still had a lot of energy and still very active! I heard she even spanked one of the little kids running around. lol Go Grandma! She is an amazing woman!

Rex E. Lee 5k Run

Well on Saturday, March 14, 2009, I ran my first race since I had Kaitlyn around 3 months ago. It was at Brigham Young University for the cure for Cancer. It was a huge race. I didn't have much expectation for me other than I wanted to run less than 10 minute miles, but was cutting it pretty close from seeing my past practice runs. :) I am pleased to say I was able to run it in 29:39 minutes and I came in 7th place in my age group. I was pretty excited. I am hoping to get back to my faster pace from previous years and keep doing better with each race I do this year! :)

My cousin, Susan, also ran the race and she did amazing! She came in 3rd place overall. She finished in 19.50 minutes. Hopefully I have her running genes in me! :)

Valentine's Day

Before Daddy came home, I got the girls dressed up in pink jumpers for Valentine's Day. I couldn't resist and had to get a picture of them together. But what a chore to get both of them to hold still or to look at the camera. :) Also, Amanda received a valentine gift from Hanni Brau (young woman in our ward). We had a good laugh with the cute headband, sun glasses and necklace. Amanda loved it!

Kaitlyn's Baby Blessing

Well we had Kaitlyn's Baby Blessing earlier this month. It was definitely a special day! A friend of ours voluntarily offered to make a blessing dress for Kaitlyn. Originally we were just going to have Kaitlyn use Amanda's blessing dress, but our friend, Linda Schaugaard, insisted and mentioned "every little girl needs her three white dresses". Linda did a beautiful job! Thank you again! Here are some pictures of Kaitlyn. She is two months old in these pictures. Santa came to visit

This past week, we had a knock on our door and it was Santa! He came to visit Amanda and little Kaitlyn. What a surprise! Amanda almost didn't know what to think. We asked if she wanted a picture of her with Santa and she ran in the other room. lol Then Roy told her that she needed to tell him what she wanted for Christmas and that Kaitlyn was getting her picture with Santa. So she came out and got her picture taken also. :)

Jessica's Christmas Choir Performance

Jessica had her school's Christmas choir performance! It has been always fun to see her little programs and the fun little songs they sing. Here is a picture of her with her group and a picture of her with her choir teachers.

Kaitlyn with eyes open

We haven't had any pictures posted with Kaitlyn with her eyes open. So we thought we would post a picture of her so all of you could see what she really looks like. :)

December 1st

Just to back up a bit, December 1st is my Mom's birthday. As a tradition, the family will get together and decorate a little tree on mom's grave. We don't have a headstone on her grave yet. I think Dad is waiting for his time to come and let us kids have one made for both of them.

Later in the evening, Roy, Amanda and I were able to decorate the little tree. It was a lot warmer outside than last year...we actually could sit on the grass! :) After decorating Mom's grave, we went over to Dad's and helped put up his Christmas Tree. It was a fun evening and lots of reminicing. :)

Kaitlyn Marie is here! :)

We are proud to announce that Kaitlyn Marie was born on Friday, December 5 at 6:57 p.m. She was 7 pounds 8 ounces and 19.5 inches long! She is a cutie and she has a good combination of both Roy and I. Amanda has been pretty excited to have a little sister! :) Here are a few pictures from the hospital.

Roy's Birthday!

Roy's Birthday was on November 4! It was quite an exciting day! He received a candy bar poster from some older ladies who are around his parents age at the gym and then gave him movie tickets for our date night. :) Then he also received some gifts from family and neighbors. I didn't even have to make a cake! We had a apple pie made for us, so we used that for his birthday cake. :) This will be a good year for Roy and many happy days to come! Happy Birthday My Sweetie!
